Boogie-woogie piano player Big Joe Duskin sings the all-time favorites. He captures the old school attitude and wraps it up in colors bright and simple. His is happy music. Sure, he's got a pure blues message to deliver; but Duskin spreads the word with a sly grin and a twinkle in his eye. Traditional themes, such as "Betty and Dupree" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee," combine with favorites by Memphis Slim, Big Bill Broonzy, Roosevelt Sykes and Lowell Fulson to put a smile on your face.

Special guest Peter Frampton sits in with his electric guitar for two classic blues tunes. "Every Day I Have the Blues" and "Key to the Highway" find the contemporary, 54-year-old rock artist from England sharing the spotlight with Duskin, who's 83. Together, they interpret the blues spirit soulfully, proving that the music is timeless. Slow and steady, they apply the tools of their trade. The result is a hearty blend of slide guitar and rollicking piano to accompany Duskin's vocal adventures. It's all quite natural. The veteran bluesman's convincing vocals give his audience a big lift.
