Incendiary instrumental soul-funk groove straight outta Memphis. Bandleader Scott Bomar (late of Memphis inland surf-garage greats Impala) has assembled a killer outfit here, featuring original Sun and Stax Records rhythm men (including Willie Hall who you might remember from the Blues Brothers.) The Bo-Keys are supporting their new Yellow Dog Records release, The Royal Sessions (which was recorded at Willie Mitchell's legendary studio.) |
