Cotton Documentary in Production
Tin Can Films of San Francisco is producing a documentary video about Chris Cotton and his recent studio session to record his new album. They've recently published a trailer previewing the video - it features a portion of an interview with 'Philadelphia' Jerry Ricks as well as other footage. Check out the trailer here.Chris's new disc I Watched the Devil Die is still enjoying great airplay - currently #9 on the Roots Music Report radio chart - and has garnered a raft of enthusiastic reviews. Produced by Jimbo Mathus and recorded with local musicians in Clarksdale, MS, the album is a modern-day jam session with all the boisterous spirit of a classic rent party.
