Chris Spector

This guy's vitae reads like one of those things that goes on forever with remarkable twists and turns and ends with 'and then I woke up'. However, it's all real, and he puts the sum total of his experience in his music. Having blazed a nice Americana path, Ellis teams up with Jim Dickinson for a slice of Americana that exists in a place all it's own and certainly can't be easily pigeon holed. Mixing secular with sacred and throwing in some international accents for spice, Ellis with amaze you with his playing, writing ad interpreting. Dangerously close to being one of those guys who's too smart for the room, Ellis manages to remain one of us and that's why we go along for this stellar ride. A remarkable set that really stands apart that you simply have to be an adult listener to fully appreciate.
