His hushed delivery makes you listen harder than you ordinarily would.
It’s not exactly bluesy and not exactly folkie, but there is something
inescapably “Southern” about this atmospheric rhumba of brushed drums,
wheezing accordion and slightly twangy guitar. A fascinating track.
