Fiona Boyes nominated for 2 Blues Blast Music Awards
Fiona Boyes is nominated twice in this year’s Blues Blast Music Awards, sponsored by the weekly Blues Blast Magazine.
Her excellent album Blues Woman is nominated for “Best Traditional Blues Recording”, while Fiona herself is nominated for “Best Female Artist”.
These honors follow Fiona’s recent Blues Music Award nomination for “Traditional Blues Female Artist of the Year” and widespread airplay for Blues Woman, which reached #1 on XM Satellite Radio’s Bluesville, #1 on the Roots Music Report Blues chart, and charted for 4 consecutive months up to #2 on the Living Blues Radio Chart.
In addition to the streaming previews of Blues Woman on our artist pages, Chicago-area radio station WGLT has also put together a page with sound samples of all BBMA nominees at http://www.wglt.org/programs/blues/blues_blast/blues_blast.phtml.
Voting closes on August 31st, so please visit http://www.illinoisblues.com/bbma/2010/bbmavote2010.php today to support Fiona with your vote!
